Definition & Philosophy
As a nondenominational church, we embrace individual autonomy over external authority, and flexibility and open-mindedness over rigid dogma.

Our main philosophy is a belief in a Higher Power, however each individual perceives that to be, and to operate with compassion and according to the Golden Rule. We strive to hold the highest intentions to nourish love and kindness, and to neutralize fear and malice.

No one who visits or belongs to our group is required to believe any doctrine or “brand” of faith. It is up to individuals to find their own truths and practice spiritual beliefs according to the dictates of their own hearts and conscience. We simply ask that differences be honored and respected. We hold a philosophy of seeking common ground, knowing that ultimately, what unites us is of far greater importance than what divides us.

Church History

Our church has been meeting on an informal, but regular basis since at least January of 2003 in our current location of 9860 SW Hall Blvd., Suite C-4, Ash Creek Cedars Bldg., Tigard, OR 97223. For the past several years, we have gone by the name “Universal Light Church.”  As of 2008 we have formed an LLC with our new name to formalize and give minimal structure to our group.
